January 2005, Pratt Institute in Fort Green, Brooklyn. We saw a pile of dirt and some plywood and decided to session it a bit until we got kicked out by security. Good times.

2005 - .243 becomes Evil DOC
In the eternal search for better equipment that will magically make me not suck at riding while also making me a better human being all around, a short few year period saw a few frame/fork combos.
Here we see a small .243 with a Sherman Jumper become a small Evil DOC. Big fat Holy Rollers, huge disc brake, lock on Oury grips, mandatory Chris King headset and Thomson seatpost. Once complete, I remember really liking this ride. My rolling barspins off of curbs were stuck with authority. No drop to flat was safe. Not a single street in this damn town was prone to a wicked skid.
Shortly it was replaced by a Tonic Fallguy - but more on that later.
Fun fact #72: I'm still rocking those Profile cranks, either because they are that well built or because I ride like a sunflower.

2005 - Incline Trip w Gid, DOC, bent DJ's
Nice rainy morning back in October '05, 7:30am. Gid was nice enough to drive out to my hood to scoop me and my fresh DOC up to go session Incline skatepark in Jersey. Towards the end of the day Gid managed to dump his ride and bend his steel Marz Dirt Jumper fork. Brutal. I sure miss the good days.
Pardon the sideways pics :)

2004-2005
Dug up these photos recently from the years passed. 2004-2005 were fun biking years. I had 2 of the .243 FR frames, first a Large with 26" wheels, later swapped to 24"s, then a Small with 24"s - great bike. Half way through 2005 I switched to a Evil Doc. I miss those days. Digital cameras are awesome in many ways, but one of them is how they date the photo when you take it, removing the guessing game.
The setups were pretty damn sweet too! Marz Dirt Jumper 2, Manitou Stance + Jumper, Arrow Launch tires, custom made grind plate/pedal, nice fat pinchable saddle. Time to get back out there on the streets. Enjoy the photos, and check out the 04-05 edit below. Oldie but goody.

Create2Destroy's 04-05 Bicycle Edit
The long awaited 04-05 edit is here. Long awaited by the 5 people who are in it, that is. Back when fun was fun and money grew on trees. Now that fun is no longer fun, and money is a root similar to horseradish one has to look at edits from 6 years ago to reminisce for a few minutes. Some old footy from Sunnyside, Banks, Htown, Shaolin, Brooklyn and such. All filmed in lo-res glory with a shaky hand. Enjoy. And yes, I'm speaking to you Gideon, Charlie, Andrew, Tim, Shino, Anson, Jim, and Rob. Ride on!
