Friday Night Throwdown

This past Friday there was a pretty damn sweet event that went on called Friday Night Throwdown. Boxing, beer, music all mixed up into one. This was their second event and it took place in the upstairs restaurant part of the Chinatown Mall under Manhattan bridge. Fun was had. Night was cut short because the owner of the restaurant didn't realize or expect that 1000 rowdy people showed up ready to get wicked. Epic times. Pardon the blurry pics - beer was involved in taking those. Good job - looking forward to the next event.

The Food Life: Vol 34

Normally on Food Life we serve you up with a few delicious photos. Well, this one is special enough to have its own post. Scallion pancake and pork. Cucumbers, cilantro and a few other goodies. This is amazing. Well crafted at a secret NYC location, this is a GEM. Plus it's cheap. Win Win scenario.

Fried Dumplings and Ramen

Damn. Some killer fried dumplings around Columbus Park in Chinatown. Five of them for $1. You know the spot I'm talking about - I'm sure it has a name, but who cares. Amazing. So so tasty and so so "healthy" - its the real deal. I love it.

Then followed by some fierce Ramen noodles on E5th st, between Ave A and Ave B. As always, I cant remember the name of the place but its official. 8$ gets you a huge tasty filling soup.

Food is Good.
