where to begin? and where to end? and what an awful trip in between...
first of all, these guys are getting fucking old. that makeup can only cover up so much, and you can't exactly "age with grace and dignity" when you wear fucking clown makeup.
Secondly, WTF is this subject matter? sure, there are things in the world that we cannot explain. "long-necked giraffes" is not one of them. i can't list every specific line that is wack in this song, but it is pretty much all of them. I hate to say it, but i think these guys are at the top of their game when they're talking about murder and chickin' huntin' (please note that the top of their game is somewhere near the bottom of the game of Vanilla Ice and SNOW combined...)
Thirdly, an abundance of phallic imagery rising from the water and some rainbow backgrounds make you wonder if it isn't some Seigfried & Roy kind of "Magic" that they're in to...
On a technical note, i don't think anyone could possibly argue against the fact that these guys have a TERRIBLE flow. this is Dr. Suess/Mother Goose nursery rhyme shit. maybe not on all their songs, but this one sounds AMATEUR. i think the drunken Rocky Dennis voicemails showed more promise than this....In closing...
