Germ's Yellow Bike
It's one of those unwanted guest scenarios. This bike is now a semi-permanent resident in my boy Professor Germ's East Village studio right next to his collection of dress shirts and candles. A 1974 Velosolex 4600 in a crispy mint shape with a dash of miles on it. If I didn't know any better and if the place didn't smell of gas and oil, I would think it's a carefully planted prop. The ultra narrow (~23") handlebars, tiny hard plastic pedals and grips suggest that this will be a handful to control, even before taking it for a spin, or noticing a lawnmower engine above the front wheel. Thumbs up.
