a classic debate continues....



its kind of long and slow, and it doesn't settle the argument...

but it does show that AKs are not as infallible as some people think, and ARs/M4s are not as delicate as some people think.

the point is...know your gear and know your limitations.

would you consider that a true AK? i mean, it fires .223. would a 7.62 AK jam that easily? I'd also like to see a water/mud test.

boo. the dude had a bad attitude from the get go and wanted the AK-looking gun to fail.

but lets face it, it all amounts down to which gun looks cooler, and that, my friends, is Avtomat Kalashnikova.

the flaw in the AK that this reveals is irrelevant to caliber...the large opening in the side of the receiver on an AK combined with the amount of "empty space" behind the bolt (above the fire-control group) can allow debris to block the FCG.
the AR, although perhaps more susceptible to dirt, does not allow any opening into the working parts, even with the dust cover open.


like i said, its not definitive, its just an interesting test.
